National PTA Poll

Help PTA understand what is important to you.  In less than two minutes you can check off up to three topics that you would like to see PTA address and discuss when the PTA National Council of States (with grassroots representation from all states) meets in March 2009.  Take the 2-question poll yourself and tell your fellow members to weigh in.  PTA wants to hear from everyone.

Even though the Donut Party Contest has ended, you can still register your Giant card and earn money for our school!!  Last year 135 registered families earned $3,800 for RCES.  You must re-register each year to receive credit.

Use the buttons on the left to explore the different areas.  Special features include:

• Online payments for your PTA membership dues and renewals, PTA events, and donations to PTA-sponsored programs and fundraisers
• Online Calendar of Events with the option to register online and easily add events to your Outlook or Mac calendar
• Online RCES PTA Membership Directory accessible to all PTA members which includes:
• Members control how much of their data is visible
• Members can upload photos of themselves and their children
• Members can update their data at any time
• Resource Center full of reference data such as class rosters, cafeteria menus, school policies, bus schedules, meeting minutes, and more
• *A Knowledge Base of information on relevant topics such as the articulation process, GT screening process, math acceleration, reading initiative, Baldridge, etc.
• *A special "staff only" Staff Lounge where teachers and other staff can access professional resources including their own private Staff Discussion Forum.
• *School Store where you can buy RCES t-shirts, bumper stickers, bracelets, etc.
• New Feedback Forum for providing website suggestions and feedback.  It is similar to the Yahoo! group but with more powerful features such as:
• Discussion threads can be organized by topic, not just by date
• Easier to view an entire thread without being distracted by unrelated topics
• *Download PTA and RCES documents and forms
• *Links to important websites such as teachers' websites, MCPS sites, educational links, etc.
• eMail reminders and eNewsletter* for registered PTA members.
