Help Your Child.  The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. Watch Yourself Grow.  By volunteering with the RCES PTA, you gain valuable experiences. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause—your child and all children in the community.

Speak Up.  Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.

Witness Improvement.  By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. PTA plays an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs, and social events—all vital to our school’s success.

Access to Online Resources.  As a member of the RCES PTA, you have access to the Members-Only area of this website which contains the membership directory, teacher's email addresses, class rosters, school schedules, downloadable forms and documents, a Knowledge Base of information on topics such as Math Acceleration, the GT process, Reading Initiative, the new Spelling Program, the William & Mary Reading Program and more.  You also can participate in the online Discussion Group, register for PTA events, order school spirit merchandise, and pay online for certain PTA-sponsored events and programs such as School Tool Boxes (supplies), Yearbook, Bingo Night, and after-school clubs.

Free Membership Directory.  When you join PTA you receive a complimentary copy of the RCES Student Directory when it becomes available in the early fall.  This is an invaluable resource that you will refer to time and again throughout the school year.
