Favorite Teacher Nominations

This is a great way to show our teachers how much we appreciate everything that they do!  Please consider having your child nominate one of our outstanding RCES teachers.
Welcome to MY FAVORITE TEACHER, The Gazette's special recognition
program for our community's favorite teachers as voted by you, their
students.

Rules: In order to nominate a teacher, you must be currently enrolled as
a K-12 student in a Montgomery County public or private school. In

RCES Portable Decision

After much deliberation, our Leadership Team had decided to change grade levels that occupy portables.  We have decided to implement a 3-year rotation between Grade 3-5 classes.  Effective Fall 2008, our Grade 4 teachers will teach in portables.  After 3 years, our Grade 3 teachers will occupy the portables.  Three years after that, Grade 5 teachers will move into the portables.  The decision was made to allow teachers to equitably rotate in and out of the building.  Our goal was also to minimize the number of students who may have to be in portables more than one year.

Parents Can Pay for Student Meals Online with MyLunchMoney.com

MCPS Parents are now able to take advantage of a convenient online service for paying for their child’s meals.  All MCPS schools are now using myLunchMoney.com, a web site that allows parents to put money on student’s cafeteria accounts using a credit or debit card, check balances, and manage multiple students at multiple schools from one convenient location.  MyLunchMoney.com is an optional service for parents.  Schools still accept cash or check payments to student accounts.
